Synopsis:

The Spring Township PD is investigating the theft and fraudulent use of a stolen credit card.  The victim had her wallet stolen while inside the Spring Township library on 6/30/2010.  The stolen card was subsequently used at the Broadcasting Square Target store to make 2 large purchases the same day @ approximately 3:30pm.  One purchase was for an Xbox 360 game system and Nintendo Wii accessories.  The second purchase was for a BOSE SoundDock portable music system and another Xbox 360 game system.  The total amount of fraudulent purchases was $1462.75.  The 1st suspect pictured is a white female, very thin build, short – approx 5’, grey shoulder length hair.  The 2nd suspect is a black female, thin build, approx 5’2” -5’5”, brown/black shoulder length hair.

White Male, 25 to 30 years of age, 175 to 200 pounds, 5’ 10” to 6’ 0” tall, short crew cut with unshaven face, wearing black jeans, light colored shirt, dark colored wind breaker, and white sneakers. The assailant was operating a 1992 to 1996 dark colored Oldsmobile Cutlass Cierra 4 Dr. Sedan.

Synopsis:

On Friday, October 15, 2010 @ 0844 hours, a robbery was reported to the Spring Township Police Department. The victim was driving his vehicle south on Old Lancaster Pike near Gouglersville when he noticed his vehicle had a flat tire. The victim drove his vehicle a short distance to Grizzly Road where he pulled onto the shoulder of the roadway to begin changing the tire. Another vehicle being operated by a white male stopped and the driver asked the victim if he needed help to change his tire. The victim accepted the offer of assistance from this male and immediately after the tire was changed, the unknown male assaulted and robbed the victim of cash.  The victim described his assailant as 25 to 30 years of age, 175 to 200 pounds, 5’ 10” to 6’ 0” tall, short crew cut with unshaven face, wearing black jeans, light colored shirt, dark colored wind breaker, and white sneakers. The assailant was operating a 1992 to 1996 dark colored Oldsmobile Cutlass Cierra 4 Dr. Sedan.

Synopsis:

South Heidelberg Township Police are investigating a Theft of a purse from a vehicle.  The theft occurred between 10/29/10 and 10/30/10.  The Actor(s) used a Visa Credit Card from the purse at the Redner’s Quick Shoppe and Redner’s Market in South Heidelberg Township, Wal-Mart in Wyomissing, McDonald’s in Womelsdorf, Sunoco in Mt Aetna and at the Wawa (near Target) in Spring Township.  Video surveillance from Redner’s Quick Shoppe shows a red or maroon, possibly a 2 door full size car at the pump.  Approximately 20 minutes later the actor returned in a white small 4 door car and again purchased gas.  The actors then went to Redner’s Warehouse Market and purchased a large grocery order.  Police are requesting assistance in identifying both the female and male actors.

Synopsis:

June 6, 2010 a robbery occurred at the Econolodge 2310 Fraver Dr. Muhlenberg Twp.   The victim took two females to the hotel room and a short time later a knock came at the door.  One of the females opened the door to a black male with the handgun.  He ordered the victim into the bathroom and they then took his credit card. The card was then later used at the Walmart, Sheetz and Giant Stores in Muhlenberg Township.  The picture shows the two females that went to the hotel with the victim.

Actor (‘s) entered the women’s restroom at the Caernarvon Township Friendship Park sometime on Thursday, October 7, 2010 and damaged the restroom.  Actor (‘s) ripped a door stall off the hinges, pulled a women’s restroom sign off the front door.  They also took the soap dispenser and put liquid soap all over the restroom.

2 Hispanic Males both wearing dark hoodies and blue jeans. Both described as average height and weight, in their early twenties.  The Actor that approached the victim with a weapon was described as having long dark hair and a full beard.  The Actors were driving a green Dodge mini-van with a PA registration and the word “SENIORS” written on the back window.

Synopsis:

On Friday September 10, 2010 at approximately 1830 hours, a 38 year old male resident of the Shillington Commons was walking to his vehicle in the 100 block of Community Drive, in Cumru Township.  The Victim was approached by a Hispanic male in his early twenties, wearing a dark hoodie and blue jeans, having long dark hair and a full beard, displaying a black handgun, believed to be a 9MM semi-automatic.  The second Actor was approaching the Victim when the Victim grabbed the armed Actor and wrestled him to the ground.  Both Actors then fled the area, getting nothing from the Victim.  The Actors were observed leaving the scene driving a green Dodge mini-van with the words “SENIORS” written on the back window.

The Central Berks Police are currently investigating a shooting that occurred on July 14, 2010 in the 300 block of North 25th St.  At approximately 10:55 P.M., a white male or possibly a light skinned Hispanic exited a sliver vehicle on Endlich Ave.  The subject walked up to a residence on N. 25th and fired several shots striking a male that was sitting in front of a home in the area.  The subject fled on foot to the awaiting silver vehicle.  The vehicle then left the area heading toward Perkiomen Ave.

Boyertown Police is requesting assistance in identifying the pictured white male suspect.  He is approximately 6’ tall, 190 lb, wore black rimmed glasses and had a dark colored goatee.  The suspect was seen in the video using a spring loaded center punch to break the glass in the front door of Boyertown Beverage where he removed one 30 pack of Miller Lite beer.  The suspect also removed the GPU electric meter from the adjacent building, possibly thinking this may disable service to the beer store ALSO taking the meter from the scene as well.

Reading Police is investigating an attempted burglary of a residence in the 1500 Block of Alsace Road.  The victims were awaked by suspects attempting to force entry through rear door and window of home.  The suspects were described as 3 young, 15-19 year old Hispanic or White males,  all wearing blue jeans.  The suspects left behind a stolen car they had driven to the burglary.  The car was a 1996 maroon Nissan Altima which had been stolen from the area of 200 Carpenter St in Reading.

Synopsis:

The Muhlenberg Police Department took a report of two stolen High End Mountain/Down Hill Bicycles on July 5, 2010.  The bikes were taken from Walmart by a Black Male and White Male.  They were able to disengage a Bell Bicycle Lock and take the two bicycles.

Lancaster Ave.  This was during the Community Days Carnival.  There was white transfer paint that was on the victim’s vehicle.  There was heavy damage to the front of the victim’s vehicle.  Damage was over $6,000.00.

Wyomissing Borough and Penn State University Police are investigating approximately 10 theft from vehicle complaints, that are believed to have all occurred during the afternoon hours of Tuesday, June 22, 2010.  In almost all cases, entry was gained by smashing windows.  Small electronics, such as GPS units, and other articles were removed from the vehicles.

The force broke the door which caused the dead bolt to come out of the door and land 3 feet away on the floor of the residence.  Taken were small electronics and cash.

Synopsis:

On April 28, 2010 at approx. 1:30pm Cumru Twp. police responded to a call for an unknown Hispanic male that had just kicked in the front door of a residence located in the 1600 block of Liggett Ave. in Cumru Twp.  The elderly female victim advised police officers that she was on her phone when she noticed a male walking up Liggett Ave. toward Shillington.  The victim stated she thought the male was selling something, so she left her living room area and walked into her kitchen.  The victim heard a knock at the front door, but she did not answer. After a short time, the victim heard another knock and then a loud bang.  The actor had kicked in the front door to the home but ran off when he saw the victim.

The actor/s climbed in through the window and went through the house to a bedroom and office. The actor/s removed a safe, and electronic equipment.

Synopsis:

On March 25th at approximately 12:10 PM an elderly white female, with short gray hair wearing a red jacket and utilizing a cane, entered the Wachovia Bank branch located at 101 Love Road in Cumru Township.  The female presented herself as a Wachovia Bank account holder and requested to withdraw a large sum of money from her account.  The female presented a withdrawal slip with the victim’s correct account number, and a fraudulent driver license listing the previous address of the victim. The female Actor also presented a Citibank Visa in the name of victim as a secondary form of identification.  After being questioned by Wachovia Bank personnel and the transaction being delayed, the Actor exited the bank leaving all documentation with bank personnel.  The female Actor has been successful on 3 previous attempts at various Wachovia branches outside of Cumru Township, including Kutztown and Wilkes Barre.

On Sunday March 14, 2010 at 2257 hours Douglass Twp PD was detailed to TC Equipment Sales and Service at 1554 Ben Franklin Highway for a report of a front door and showroom motion alarm.  Upon arrival of responding officers they found that entry had been gained and unknown suspects had removed approximately 20 chainsaws and other equipment.  Total loss is in excess of $7700.00.

Synopsis:

Over the past few weeks the Central Berks Regional Police Department has been experiencing numerous incidents of Vandalism.  Police are investigating at least 18 incidents where car windows were “shot out” with a high power “BB” weapon.   Some of the incidents possibly involved what appeared to be a “Bat” which caused damage to the metal window frames.  The total damages will be in the thousands of dollars.  These incidents have occurred in Mt. *** BURGLARY ***

Suspect:

1 white male approx. 6’ tall wearing a hooded sweat shirt, scruffy beard with short dark hair. 1–Hispanic male 5’ 10” wearing a hooded sweat shirt with short thick curly hair, a fine cut beard along his jaw line, both in their late teens to early 20’s.  They were in a mid to late 1990’s Chrysler Sebring white in color with a black front hood.

Wednesday January 13, 2010 between 12:25pm and 2:15pm

Location:

500 block of Morris Place Cumru Twp.

2 Flat Screen TVs, 2 video game units, 1 Sony computer

Synopsis:

On Wednesday afternoon January 13, 2010, two males approached a residence located in the 500 block of Morris Place located in Cumru Twp. and banged on the door.  A family member answered the door and one of the males asked for a female from that residence.  Both males were advised that the female was not at the residence.  A short time later the resident left his home and while driving away saw the males inside a white Chrysler Sebring drive past him heading in the opposite direction.  At approx. 2:20pm another family member arrived back at the residence and found the rear door open.  A TV was sitting on the kitchen floor.  When she entered the living room, she found another TV sitting on the floor.  The home owner then notified the police and a check of the residence found 2-TVs, 2- video game units and a computer missing.  Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Alert Berks County.

Synopsis:

The Central Berks Regional Police Department is investigating a “Burglary” of a Business, that occurred between Saturday, 2/13/2010 and Tuesday, 2/16/10 at 1030 Hrs.  Unknown actor/s entered through the front door.  Taken was an extensive amount of Nail Supplies, Equipment- Dryers, Nail Machines etc. and a Lap Top Computer.

Weis Market, 15260 Kutztown Road, Maxatawny Township

Synopsis:

In both thefts, the male suspect went directly to the baby formula aisle, loaded his shopping cart with containers of formula and pushed the cart out of the store, exiting through the entrance door.  During the second theft, he took off his jacket and put it over the cart to conceal what was in it before leaving the store.  The value of the formula was about $1,800.00.

Synopsis:

Someone, possibly in a vehicle, went around the borough firing pellet guns at windows of houses and parked cars.  Police believe the incidents happened during after school hours the same day.  As many as nine homes and three cars were damaged, but police still were getting damage reports as of late last week.

*** ROBBERY & attempted robbery ***

Suspect:

The suspects in both holdups are believed to be two males teens, one possibly as young as 15.  One was described as 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall.  The younger one was shorter.  Both are of medium weight.

Date/Time:

Robbery on December 28 at 6:45 a.m. and attempted robbery on January 18 at 9:35 a.m.

ATM at the Citizens Bank, 4950 Kutztown Road in Temple

Synopsis:

Both suspects wore dark colored hooded coats or sweatshirts with bandanas or something similar covering their faces.  In the first robbery, a 47 year  old Temple woman was accosted by the males, one of whom put a handgun to her head.  They got $260 from the victim.  In the second robbery, the suspects put a handgun to the back of a 54 year old Temple man but they got no money from him.  No one was injured in either incident.

White male, about 6 foot tall, early 20’s, “college age,” wearing a black puffy winter coat with a fur trimmed hood, and a red or orange knit cap.

Synopsis:

The Wyomissing Police Department is investigating a series of early morning burglaries in the former Wyomissing Hills section of the borough that have occurred between 12/14/09 to 01/10/10.  In each of the burglaries, entry was gained via an unlocked door or window.  The suspect is described as a white male, about 6 foot tall, early 20’s, “college age,” wearing a black puffy winter coat with a fur trimmed hood, and a red or orange knit cap.  He is entering homes through unlocked doors and windows in an attempt to steal cash.

Turkey Hill Minit Market, 3428 Morgantown Road, Robeson Township

3 handguns and 12 rifles/shotguns, 4- pieces of jewelry and a kitchen knife set.

Synopsis:

On 12/27/2009 at approx 2000 hrs. (8:00 PM) two male actors brandishing handguns, one silver the other black, entered the Turkey Hill Store located at 3428 Morgantown Road, Robeson Township.  The first actor jumped the front counter taking control of the clerk the other rounded the rear of the counter providing cover and acting as a look out.  Both actors left the store with cash from the safe.

Synopsis:

On December 14, 2009 Cumru Twp. police received a detail to respond to Troy Lane in Cumru Twp. for a burglary discovered.  The home owner stated that sometime between December 4, 2009 and December 14, 2009 someone entered his residence through an unlocked door, or used a key as there was no forced entry. Taken from 2 bedrooms in the home were rifles, shot guns, hand guns, jewelry.  Also taken was a set of knives from the kitchen area.
